Our liberties have been preserved by men and women who have proudly worn the uniform of the Armed Forces of this Great Country.

    The veteran memorial association of Washington county is building an all Veterans Memorial park in the Washington area. Preliminary plans are complete at this time. The proposed costs are estimated to be around $250,000. Future amenities will be added as funds are available. The memorial will be Washington county's tribute to all the men and women who have served in any branch of the armed forces, who have contributed to the preservation of our liberties. Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine. Special consideration will be given to those who are MIA or were POW's. Personal Tributes will be also made available, as family or loved ones may desire.
